Last night, amid Man United's poor pre-season loss to QPR, Anthony Elanga was the standout performer.
Man United would like to forget about their 4-2 defeat on the whole, which included some dreadful defending and some truly horrible performances.
DON'T MISS:
We at Old Trafford Faithful, on the other hand, endeavor to spread positivity wherever we can. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is unlikely to take many positives from this game, however, the young Anthony Elanga can provide some solace.
At halftime, the young Swede would come on and become our most dangerous goal threat. Pace, directness, and a keen sense of the situation. He'd finish off a fantastic individual performance with a wonderful goal.
Elanga must be overjoyed with the way things are now going for him after breaking into the first-team mix at the close of last season. It wasn't long ago that he sustained a significant injury that forced him to miss a few months of action. Make no mistake: if that hadn't happened, the winger would already be a key member of Solskjaer's squad.
DON'T MISS:
I sincerely hope that Elanga is retained for the 2021/22 term, as he already appears to be capable. Sure, he has a lot of confidence, but this kid can compete with anyone. I honestly believe there isn't much of a difference between him and Dan James, which is a credit to Elanga's abilities. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a long and fruitful career.
After a fantastic cameo against QPR, the 19-year-old would undoubtedly get accolades from fans. May it continue for a long time!

Thought Elanga was fantastic today. What a gem he is. So bright and he absolutely has the United DNA spirit. I’d absolutely love him to stay this season to gain experience within the 1st team. A very bright future ahead! Keep shining young man https://t.co/MrTkuiq2xw

Elanga was the only standout today, everyone else was poor
Especially that defense, it was dreadful

Elanga probably the standout of the reserves today – with a bit of a better touch he could have grabbed himself a hat trick. Much better option off the bench than James

Excited to see how Elanga and Hannibal turn out to be this season. So much potential

Elanga is, as the kids would say, a baller. pic.twitter.com/aWUB9e9B3k
