Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised fans that the club will make major signings during the summer transfer window.
This summer, all eyes will be on Old Trafford as Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad ahead of his third full season in charge.
This season, Solskjaer led Manchester United to a second-place finish in the Premier League table, with the Red Devils finishing 12 points behind champions Manchester City.
Despite showing signs of improvement under Solskjaer this season, the Red Devils were unable to win a trophy after losing the Europa League final to Villarreal.
The focus will now shift to the summer transfer window and the players Solskjaer may look to sign ahead of the new season.
And the Norwegian head coach has now stated that the Red Devils are looking to make some significant additions as they prepare for the new season.
“We were the second-best team, but too far behind to threaten the champions,” Solskjaer said in an interview with TV2. We must fortify ourselves.“Of course, something will occur during the transfer window.
“The world has changed dramatically since 15 or 16 months ago, but we still need to make some moves in the transfer window and with the team.”
Manchester United has not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson's famous final triumph in 2013.
