A Manchester United receptionist says she is upset after having to postpone her two-week vacation because Scotland's First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has barred anyone from traveling to Greater Manchester.
Shelley Peacock and her husband had planned to visit Stirling Castle and Orkney on their vacation, which was supposed to be a 50th birthday celebration for her.
DON'T MISS:
Shelley, who was a member of English Heritage and The National Trust, was excited to see historical places and monuments.
To make matters worse, she'd previously canceled it due to lockout the previous year.
Shelley is disappointed because there was no forewarning.
Nicola Sturgeon's talks with Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham on the subject appear to have gone badly, with Andy Burnham accusing the First Minister of releasing information of what he understood were private discussions.
DON'T MISS:
Andy Burnham's spokesperson said "We were surprised to learn that the Scottish Government has disclosed details... of a private meeting.
We applaud Nicola Sturgeon's recognition that the Scottish Government has to disclose more transparency about how it makes decisions...
We are disappointed, however, that the First Minister dismissed the financial impact of her decision on inhabitants of Bolton, Manchester, and Salford."
