Manchester United open to offering Anthony Martial to Spanish giants in bid to land transfer target

 

According to Fichajes, Manchester United is considering offering Anthony Martial in exchange for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier.

When Manchester United finalized the transfer of Anthony Martial from AS Monaco, it appeared as if they had landed a future superstar. They raided the French side one prodigy too soon in the end.

While Martial has shown to be a productive attacker for the Red Devils, he has not grown into the player that many at Old Trafford had hoped for. As a result, Fichajes believes the club is eager to offload him this summer.

According to the report, one option is to give Martial in exchange for Kieran Trippier, with the England international being brought in to create competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

While that may seem perplexing to Man United fans, given that Martial's market worth is undoubtedly more than Trippi er's, we're talking about a player who the club doesn't require but could potentially benefit from adding to the group.

However, according to Transfermarkt, Martial is bound by a long-term deal that will not expire until the summer of 2024, with the possibility to extend for another year.

Man United may offer Atletico Madrid the chance to sign Martial while utilizing Trippier as a makeweight and paying the Premier League giants a fee. The Spanish champs, on the other hand, aren't sure if they'd be interested.
