Manchester United supporters have weighed in on England's Euro 2020 squad, which includes four Red Devils players. Harry Maguire's fitness is a major concern, with Gareth Southgate admitting it was "tight" whether he'd be ready for the tournament's first game.
Southgate has chosen Dean Henderson in goal over Harry Maguire, despite the defender's recent fitness issues.
This summer, Luke Shaw is expected to be the starting left-back, with Marcus Rashford also included.Mason Greenwood was omitted from the lineup due to an injury concern.
"He had to pull out on Friday, we knew he wasn't a contender for the last few days," Southgate said of the teen forward.
Maguire missed the Europa League final due to an ankle injury that is still bothering him, and Rashford looked exhausted against Villarreal.
On Twitter, two United fans agreed that it would have been better for the pair if they had been given the summer to recover from a difficult season.
"I'm in the minority of fans who are upset that any United players were called up," one wrote. I'd rather they took a summer off than face the wrath of the press if England fails again.
"I'm with you here, man," said another. "I'd rather they rested over the summer for next season, especially Maguire and Rashford."
Others discussed it on the r/reddevils Reddit feed, with many people relieved that Grennwood will not be playing this summer but wishing Rashford had followed suit.
"As great as this is, it kinda sucks because that's basically our team's spine and they've played a lot of football over the last two seasons," one fan said. They could benefit from a break and a proper preseason."

And, with Southgate opting for four right-backs and only five genuine midfielders, many United supporters seized on the contentious decision.
