Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire post messages after England beat Germany

In a 2-0 triumph over Germany at Wembley, Luke Shaw was one of England's heroes.

Late in the second half, Manchester United's left-back delivered the assist for Raheem Sterling to break the deadlock with a close-range tap-in.

Shaw was a superb act, driving England forward for the second goal as well, racing through Germany's center before passing to Jack Grealish, who found Harry Kane.

England erupted in joy after their victory, and Shaw expressed his happiness on Instagram.

Donny van de Beek, a Manchester United player, responded with praise for his assist.

Harry Maguire, Shaw's United and England teammate, also took to Instagram following the last 16 win.

Rio Ferdinand was one of the first to applaud Maguire on his performance.

Marcus Rashford, a United teammate, was an unused substitute in the triumph, with England only making two changes throughout the game.

Following the match, he was busy announcing Jadon Sancho's transfer and then alleging he had been hacked.

Rashford could get his chance in Saturday's quarter-final between England and Croatia. Shaw and Maguire took advantage of their opportunities, and if he is given another chance, he will be desperate to make an impression.
