Chelsea has apparently entered the battle for Sevilla Futbol Club's Jules Kounde, in what appears to be a move to infuse youth.
This would be bad news for two other English Premier League clubs interested in signing the French defender.

According to Sports Witness, the Blues have beaten Manchester United and Arsenal to Kounde's signature.
Even more shocking is the fact that Chelsea is said to be the favorite to sign the Frenchman.
The money needed to finalize the deal with Sevilla for Kounde will, however, be a factor.
The 20-year-old defender is valued at $77.61 million by SFC. The asking price has climbed significantly since Manchester City's $65.97 million deal was turned down last year.
Even though Chelsea is supposed to be leading, it raises a number of problems. Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva already appear to be a strong defensive pairing for the Blues.

Alternatives for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel include Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen, prompting doubts about why Chelsea would want Kounde.
The age of some of the guys in the mix could be the solution. Silva will turn 37 in a few months, and Tuchel may be thinking ahead.
Kounde, who is only 22, is an excellent signing for the Blues as they look to bring in youngsters who will be part of the team in the future.
The high asking price, on the other hand, may change things.
Furthermore, the Blues must manage their own interest in particular talents. Billy Gilmour is said to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge, with Norwich City and Wolverhampton Wanderers the leading contenders.
