Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly believes in what Jadon Sancho can bring to the club.
According to reports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Manchester United executives that signing Jadon Sancho is enough to make his team competitive again.
United are looking to sign Sancho again after failing to sign the winger last summer. In 2020, the Red Devils balked at Borussia Dortmund's asking price of £108 million.
Sancho, on the other hand, will be available for much less this year.
The 21-year-old had a less productive season with Dortmund, scoring eight goals and registering 11 assists.
He did, however, miss a significant amount of time due to injury, limiting him to only 24 league starts.
Meanwhile, Manchester United finished second in the Premier League this season, 12 points behind champions Manchester City.
Solskjaer's team also fell short in the Europa League final, losing 11-10 on penalties to Villarreal on Wednesday.
Solskjaer wants to strengthen his squad in the coming window, and Sancho is one of them.
According to the Mail, the Norwegian manager believes that adding Sancho to his attacking resources will allow the club to compete for major trophies once more.
Sancho would join Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Martial as United's main attacking options.
