Tottenham to be offered two Man United stars in part-exchange for Kane

Man United are willing to offer two first-team stars in exchange for Tottenham goal king Harry Kane, according to Football Insider.

The 20-time Premier League champions have been heavily linked with Kane in recent weeks, following the news that he wants to leave Spurs in the upcoming transfer window, which was first reported by this site.

DON'T MISS:

According to a United source, the club is preparing a bid for the England captain but are unlikely to come close to the £150 million valuations Tottenham has placed on their prize asset.

Instead, Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer's team will try to sweeten the deal by offering some of their top players in exchange.

French forward Anthony Martial and West Ham loan sensation Jesse Lingard are among those with who United could entice Spurs with.

On May 10th, Football Insider revealed that the Old Trafford club had increased their pursuit of Kane.

DON'T MISS:

Jim Lawlor, United's chief scout, was at Elland Road 10 days ago specifically to watch him play in Spurs' 3-1 loss to Leeds United.

Chelsea is also a strong contender for Kane, though bad blood between the London rivals could complicate an already complicated deal.

What is certain is that the 27-year-old forward wants a summer transfer despite the fact that he has three years left on his contract.

Kane is “desperate” to leave Tottenham this summer, which has been bolstered by recent events such as the team's lacklustre performance in the League Cup final loss to Manchester City and Jose Mourinho's dismissal.

Despite agreeing to a new one-year contract with Edinson Cavani last week, United want an A-list centre-forward.

They want Kane or another striker in that category to lead the line because the club's coaches believe that players like Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Marcus Greenwood are more effective in wide positions.

In other news, Spurs superstar Harry Kane is set to stay next season following a showdown with Levy.
