 The Premier League fixture list was troubled on Sunday when Manchester United's match against Liverpool was postponed due to a crowded rally at Old Trafford.


Stan Collymore recommended on Sunday that the Manchester United-Liverpool match be rescheduled for today, Monday, May 3, 2021.

At the point of publication, there is no definite response as to when the Manchester United vs. Liverpool game will take place.


However, according to the Times, the match will now have to be postponed before the end of the season:


The game will therefore be rescheduled for the day after the FA Cup final on Sunday, May 16, requiring Liverpool to transfer their game against West Bromwich Albion to a free midweek slot.

Would Manchester United be docked points in the Premier League?


According to the Mirror on Monday, Manchester United could face a points deduction as a result of their demonstration against Liverpool on Sunday.


For the record, this was the first time a Premier League match was delayed owing to a fan protest.


The Mirror believes there is a risk United will now lose points as a consequence, but the red-top acknowledges the actual situation is unclear:


Manchester United could be docked points because Premier League and FA regulations on postponements conflict.


Section 8.3.4 of the FA rulebook notes that if United is deemed to be at fault for the match's cancellation, Liverpool will be given three points.


Although all clubs committing to the postponement, it remains to be seen if any fines will be imposed.
