Mark Helm is expected to quit Manchester United this season, according to MEN Sport.
The club's deal with the 19-year-old midfielder does not end until June 2022, although it is agreed that the club and the player would pursue an amicable solution to enable Helm to depart and find regular first-team football in the coming months.
DON'T MISS:
During his tenure in the United youth ranks, Helm developed a reputation as a free-kick expert, scoring a series of goals that drew similarities to Wayne Rooney after going viral on social media.
He is a central midfielder by profession, and it is known that he is being pursued by clubs lower down the English league pyramid.
He will follow Max Taylor in exiting the team this summer, with Connor Stanley, Paul Woolston, and Arnau Puigmal all expected to quit, according to MEN Sport.
DON'T MISS:
Helm was a starter for United's Under-23 team last season, appearing in 23 games for both the U23s and the U21s and scoring five goals. He was a member of the FA Youth Cup team that entered the competition's semi-finals in 2020, alongside Teen Mengi, Hannibal Mejbri, and Shola Shoretire.
United will also think of the prospects of fellow 19-year-olds Reece Devine and Charlie McCann, but it is unclear if they will stay or go, either indefinitely or on lease.
In recent seasons, United have had a tradition of promoting talented talent to higher age categories, with Neil Wood's U23 team mostly consisting of players under the age of 18
