Noah Solskjaer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's son, says he saw the funny side of his father's weekend spat with Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer outlasted his predecessor at Old Trafford on Sunday, coming from behind to defeat Tottenham 3-1.

United's victory was one of the sweetest under Solskjaer, as his team overcame a contentious first-half finish that saw them have a goal unfairly thrown out before dropping behind.

After the game, Solskjaer chastised Tottenham goalkeeper Son Heung-min for collapsing after being trapped by Scott McTominay in the build-up to Edinson Cavani's disallowed penalty.

“We should not be duped. 

“I have to admit, if my son is down for three minutes and wants his ten friends to get him up, he will not be fed,” he said.

 

Mourinho was enraged by Solskjaer's words, which he interpreted as a personal assault on the South Korean striker. 

"Sonny is very fortunate that his father is a better guy than Ole," Tottenham's boss retorted.
