The signing of Jadon Sancho, according to Lee Sharpe, would only help Mason Greenwood improve at the club.
The former United winger claims Greenwood is best suited to play on the right flank right now, and that even the arrival of a player like Sancho — who United is still interested in despite failing to sign him from Borussia Dortmund last summer — will only be a boost.
DON'T MISS:
Sharpe measured Greenwood's success and the possible signings Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make on the wings in an exclusive interview with MEN Sport in association with William Hill.
United is still considering a bid for striker Erling Haaland, but Sharpe has been delighted with Greenwood's attacking displays.
The 19-year-old has three goals in his last three games.
DON'T MISS:
“I believe he has performed exceptionally well.
"He sure looks sharp and light, and he's got decent feet," said Sharpe, who played out wide for United under Sir Alex Ferguson from 1988 to 1996, winning three Premier League titles.
"When he comes in from the wing, he appears to have little else on his mind other than scoring."
He has a great instinct for scoring goals.
