Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has assembled a very exciting team of youthful and more seasoned talent over the last two years or so.
Manchester United is one of the most entertaining teams in the league right now, with Bruno Fernandes as the poster boy and players like Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford helping to run the field.
DON'T MISS:
So, with a possible spot in the Champions League and a shot at the Premier League title awaiting them next season, who can Solskjaer develop his team around?
LUKE SHAW
Shaw, perhaps the best left-back in the world right now, must be among the first names on the team sheet right now.
With many expecting him to be Alex Telles' second string this season, the Brazilian must be weighing his choices after a season of bench warming. If he has a good Euros this summer, Shaw will be raring to go more than ever next season - and that is a seriously exciting prospect.
HARRY MAGUIRE
When he's at his best, the United captain looks like a brick, but will he continue to play alongside the inconsistent Victor Lindelof next season, or will United eventually recruit a world-class defender to go alongside him?
Maguire can eventually live up to his £75 million price tag if he can find a lighter, more versatile companion to enable him to concentrate on playing as a stopper.
DON'T MISS:
However, once he aligns himself with the new crop, the same old leaky problems are likely to emerge.
Scott McTominay
Almost every time McTominay plays, he seems to be the club's best deep-lying midfielder by a wide margin.
Since it does not seem that Solskjaer will sign another defensive midfielder this summer, the Scot will know that he will have a spot in the team when he is fit and raring to go.
McTominay, who is still only 24, is only going to get better, but he would most likely need to compete with better players than Fred and an aging Nemanja Matic to take his career to the next level.
Bruno Fernandes
Let's be honest: this might easily be an article about only one key player, such as Fernandes' importance to this United squad.
This season, I've scored 24 goals and counting...
However, Fernandes' impact on this squad is something more than just scoring goals.
The Portuguese are the heart and soul of this unit, and his importance to Solskjaer cannot be overstated; God only knows what would happen if he were to sustain an injury.
Mason Greenwood
United's Prospects -
Greenwood has the potential to be United's biggest source of goals for years to come if he can stop the slumps that he is prone to.
His talent on either foot is plain to see, even though his goal contributions don't reflect it. He has been described as the greatest technical player United has seen in a long time.
Marcus Rashford
It's easy to forget, but Rashford is only just 23 years old and has another decade at the top of the game ahead of him.
When called upon, England's forward has scored some crucial goals and can be a real handful when his head is in the right position.
Rashford is a Manchester United fan through and through, but Solskjaer can take comfort in knowing that he can rely on Rashford as a winger or even upfront.
