According to sources, Manchester United has spoken with Jadon Sancho's camp about a possible transfer to Old Trafford this summer.

The club has long wanted the England international. And, with Borussia Dortmund seemingly doomed to lose out on a spot in next season's Champions League, a mega-deal could be in the works.

DON'T MISS:

United's interest in Sancho predates Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure as manager.

They attempted to get him to Old Trafford for the first time during the summer transfer window of 2017 when the forward was playing for Manchester City across town.

However, United was unsuccessful on that occasion, as Sancho chose to move to the Westfalenstadion, tempted by the prospect of daily first-team football.

They've been admirers in the years since, including struggling to sign him in 2019 and 2020.

DON'T MISS:

Despite this, 90min claims that United is still interested in signing Sancho, despite having missed out on him previously.

It is said that they have ‘kept open channels of contact' with the players' representatives.

They were also struck by Sancho's maturity last summer, as rumors tying him to a move to Manchester United escalated.

United says they can sign Sancho for less than half of Borussia Dortmund's former asking price, which was thought to be around £100 million.

And, though they are still interested in signing Erling Haaland, the former City forward could end up joining them instead.

Sancho isn't the only one on United's watch ahead of the summer transfer window.

Solskjaer needs to bring in a new right-back to compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has stepped up since the arrival of Alex Telles.
