Greenwood has impressed Solskjaer this season at Old Trafford, and the Norwegian believes he can turn into more of a center forward in the future.

 

Solskjaer said in an interview before Sunday's victory over Burnley, "Mason isn't just a real finisher – he's a natural footballer."

“He's so smooth, and he's grown so much this season. 

His body has matured and he is becoming healthier. 

His consistency is improving, and he will undoubtedly begin to score more goals.

“I've been very surprised and pleased with his progress this season. 

He's emerged from that adversity as a stronger person and a better athlete.

“Perhaps in the future, he will play as a central striker, but I believe it is quite a few years away.

 

“In the Premier League, being a center-forward is perhaps the most difficult role to play.

“For the time being, I believe Mason is better suited to playing the big position, falling into pockets, finding a room, and running in behind.

“I don't want him facing goal with two center-backs up his backside. 

I believe we've found a decent way to grow him, but he might end up as a number nine.”
