Owen Hargreaves has urged Manchester United to land West Ham stars Declan Rice and Leicester City center-back Wesley Fofana.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be looking to bolster his Red Devils squad this summer, after the side he's side will be some success behind Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

DONT MISS:

Manchester United has been linked with several defensive backs over the past year and Owen wants to see 'excellent' Wesley head to Old Trafford.

The French writer has praised Brendan Rodgers' side after he left a £ 37 million move from Saint-Etienne last year.

Owen also believes Declan would be a welcome addition to Ole's squad after his impressive performances for David Moyes' side.

DONT MISS:

Chelsea considered an assist for Rice last summer and the 20-time England midfielder was also said to be keen on his situation in east London.

Speaking of Premier League productions, French journalist Julien Laurens has suggested that the Old Trafford team should sign Rice because he is "better than" Scotland international Scott McTominay, and Hargreaves replied: ' I'm with Jules.

'I think the upside supply is off the charts. He can buy things and things better.

'Declan Rice doesn't have to write the game for Manchester United, he can refer to athletes who can make a difference and do a good job of self-defense.'

Hargreaves was then asked if anyone else would like to sign for Manchester United this summer and replied:

'I love seeing Manchester United get Fofana. It's a Ferrari, to be honest. I threw everything they had left in the bank to get it. He is the best performer. '

Manchester United drew 1-1 with Stefano Pioli's AC Milan in the first leg of their last-16 UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday night and return to the PL on Sunday against the Hammers.
