However, Manchester City got their momentum as they dominated the most in the first half as Manchester United had to defend more to avoid being given an embarrassing thrashing.

But one notable thing was made by the Norwegian manager. He changed his tactics coming into the second half, with his team catching Manchester City napping as they counter attacked quickly.
One of their counter attacks led to the scoring of the second goal of the game through Luke Shaw who exchanged brilliant passes with Marcus Rashford before slotting it home.
Speaking after the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quoted saying: "When you get the 1-0 lead it sets a tone for the game. I thought we were excellent in the first 10 or 15 minutes, then settled into our shape.
Because we played too much on the result, and we adjusted that at half time to be more positive again and the second goal was incredible."
This proved that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his Manchester United team can withstand any pressure from the top teams.
