Manchester United has made a reasonable € 80m (£ 68.6m) bid for Atletico Madrid against striker Marcos Llorente, according to Spanish media reports.
The Spaniard has been one of Atletico's best players since arriving at Real Madrid's list less than two years ago, and the La Liga club is believed to be reluctant to sell.
DONT MISS:
Sponsors on Twitter are skeptical of the truth of the ad and they think there are better options for marketing than Llorente for that price
Llorente has been excellent this season, scoring ten goals and assisting nine assists in 36 appearances, but he has played in positions that United has already accomplished well.
Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, and Donny van de Beek can all play at the high level of midfield. As some fans have suggested, the club would be better off spending their money on more defensive-minded midfielders.
