Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already has the perfect combination of Manchester United concerns Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already has the perfect combination of Manchester United concerns Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel

The Chelsea boss has been beaten twice at home by Manchester United in Solskjaer whilst the Paris Saint-Germain boss.

Manchester United meets their opponents on Sunday as they travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea.

DONT MISS:

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side played out a dull 0-0 draw at Old Trafford against the Blues earlier this season, then managed by Frank Lampard.

On Sunday, he will be Thomas Tuchel in the dugout and while he is still a new face for the Premier League, it will be the third time Solskjaer has pits his wits against the German this season.

The last two meetings were in the Football League during Tuchel was still in charge of Paris Saint-Germain. Whilst United's European goals came to an end in despair as they descended into the Europa League, their start in Group H got off to a great start, at the Parc des Princes.

Marcus Rashford won the 87-minute time to give United a three-point lead, the second time the Englishman has advanced with the final in Paris in 18 months.

Few supporters will need to mention his conviction for completing the second round of the 2019 beauty pageant, which reminds Rio Ferdinand of asking Solskjaer to serve as a full-time manager.

In four meetings between United and PSG, the former has won all competitions. That physically fit United's hopes of a performance on Sunday, although this would be the first match against Tuchel on English soil.

Tuchel has already started to complete his style of Chelsea with the ball. His team has been named heavy-duty throughout his career and during his eight appearances, in all competitions, his newcomers have estimated 69%.

In recent seasons, Manchester United has developed their best performances and got their best play of the offense in the 3-5-2 formation, especially than is the strict protest out of the house.

Against PSG ahead of the season, Solskjaer opted for the same set-up strategy, taking Axel Tuanzebe as third-place back-back with Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw, with Harry Maguire missing out. Tuanzebe’s rivalry with Kylian Mbappe in United right-back was key, while Scott McTominay and Fred watched us back, letting Bruno Fernandes, Martial, and Rashford focus on the offensive line.

Since moving to Chelsea, Tuchel has started with three backs in every game of the day. As a result, it would be unbelievable to see United challenge their opponents, as they have won in the big leagues away from home under Solskjaer in the last 18 months.

Chelsea has used Olivier Giroud or Tammy Abraham as a principle, with most likely to start against United after his lawyer against Atletico Madrid. Mason Mount and Timo Werner started mostly in them. 10' role, followed by Giroud, in Tuchel's 3-4-3 set-up.

Giroud's one-touch touch of game and body is an essential tool but it's not dangerous to threaten in-back. That responsibility lies with Werner, who plays narrowly from left to right. His speed can be linked-to Eric Bailly, should United choose the three-man defense.

The following shows how Chelsea's business ventures in action, with Mount falling into midfield, Giroud coming as short as the receivers, whilst Werner seems to be used as a center-back under-protection.

Chelsea focuses on holding the ball to fine United, with Rashford and Anthony Martial key to expanding the space behind Chelsea defense during the transfer window.

Against PSG, Martial and Rashford were overjoyed in the match after United regained possession. Early on Fernandes, McTominay and Fred were key to capturing Tuchel's side.

The timing of Fernandes' pass was crucial to widening the gap left by PSG defense and midfield, just two minutes into the second half of the game.

Manchester United has evolved since they competed with the 'Big Six' last season.

They are not the lower back and they have proved that they can manage the game with the unity of presence, as reported against Liverpool and Manchester City this year.

If United can get another good result for Tuchel on Sunday, though, Solskjaer will have to return to his old squad once again.
