Manchester United plan to make BVB striker Erling Haaland a long-term replacement of Cavani.

According to a report, Manchester United are reportedly preparing to offer around €130m for the transfer of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

This is on the directive of the Norwegian coach Solskjaer, while other big names like Man United fierce rivals Liverpool are also mentioned as to be interested in the player.

The 20-times Premier League champions would undoubtedly benefit from this ambitious signing, the United coach Solskjaer in need of a long-term replacement for the former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edison Cavani.

Edison Cavani only joined Manchester United this summer but will turn 34 next month and is definitely going to stay at Old Trafford for a short period of time.

The Dortmund star meanwhile is just 20 years old and has a superb scoring record, having found the back of the net 35 times in 43 matches for his club Borussia Dortmund.

Red Devils are increasing their interest and could offer big money, as much as €130m, in other to employ the service of the star and to beat another club that is interested in the player.

Haaland is also on the transfer list of Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain.

It will not be an easy market for the Red Devils to win this transfer race, but if they do, it will definitely be a big statement as they look to get back to their best.

At the moment, however, one may think that the BVB star might find a move to Anfield far more tempting.

Liverpool won the Premier League title last season and the UEFA Champions League last two seasons, and they could cement their status as a major force with a signing like this.

The 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund forward would definitely be tempted to link up with the German manager and perhaps sever as the perfect long-term replacement for the likes Sadio Man and Mohamed Salah.
