Manchester United preparing to finally secure the signing of Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare
Man United have not improved their defensive midfield department since the arrival of the Brazilian player Fred in the summer transfer window of 2018.
With the report going on around the media, if it comes to be true then, Manchester United is the favorites to sign the French international Boubakary Soumare, who was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer as well.

Last Summer transfer window, Foot Mercato revealed that the Lille star midfielder has won over the English Premier League outfit.
However, at the end of the market, Manchester United chief Ed Woodward did not move to seal the signing.
As per the latest news reported by the Italian joi=urnalist Vito Angele on the Italian Football Podcast (via ES),
The 20-times Premier League champions are leading the race to land the 21-year-old star.
'Manchester United is working very hard on him and they are the favorites to sign the player right now. Lille is also demanding a big fee for their star player which is too much for AC Milan.'
The Lille star Soumare will be out of contract in less than 2 years (June 2022) and as per a report covered by Foot Mercato last month, he could be secured for a fee worth 20 million euros (£18million).
This campaign, the French midfielder has been in top form for his club Lille, who are just a single point off the League leaders Lyon so far this season.
After 15 Bundesliga appearances, so far, the player breaker has helped his club keep no fewer than 7 clean sheets.
In the past years, the Red Devils have to spend a lot of money in other to strengthen their back-line following the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Alex Telles but they really need to sign a top-quality defensive midfielder,
who could be able to provide a solid block for the defenders?
The former Chelsea player Nemanja Matic is still the team's only specialist play breaker, who is past his best and normally stays on the bench under the new coach Solskjaer.
In that case, Boubakary Soumare would be the best signing for the Red Devils.
