'He doesn't have the qualities': Louis Van Gaal blasts Man United midfielder's role

Manchester United former coach Louis van Gaal speaks out about Donny van de Beek’s Man United transfer

Manchester United former coach Louis van Gaal has spoken his mind about compatriot Donny van Beek's decision to sign for the Red Devils.

The Red Devils signed Van de Beek from Ajax the last summer for a fee of €39 million but the playmaker is still finding it difficult to establish himself at Old Trafford as a regular option for Solskjaer.

the 23-year-old was charged in the half time. He also made three appearances for the Red Devils in the Champions League before their exit from the group stage.

Van Gaal to the Ziggo Sport via Football Oranje: the player made a mistake by joining the Red Devils.

"I think that supposed to come beforehand. There are other teams, which could have been good for him, also among the top. He is a player with many qualities.

Manchester United, however, defended the play's lack of playing time by saying "Van de Beek is going to play a big part for his team".

"For you to be a very important player on the team, you must not start the first game.

"I will be disappointed if some of my teammates said that I was not that important at Old Trafford but I didn't start many games, So the Van de Beek is going to be of great value to the team,"

One of the problems the Dutch international is facing at the Red is the heavily defensive formation that Solskjaer is using. In the recent League action,

He has started two defensive midfielders, which give little room for more for creatives on the front.
