Deal Close - Man United ready to agree £20.8million terms to keep star

Man Utd to agree £20.8million terms with Dean Henderson in other to tile him down to the club.

Man Utd loanee Dean Henderson had a terrific season with Sheffield United but will United make him the first choice keeper next season?

The England international has desired a regular starting spot at Old Trafford and he has been heavily linked with a move to the London club Chelsea according to the Sun-News.

However, the latest news about the keeper is optimistic for the Red Devils.

According to the Sun-News, the 23-year-old keeper is on the verge of accepting fresh terms with Manchester United and he is also ready to compete with David De Gea for the No.1 spot.

The British outlet, on the other hand, has mentioned that the English goalie Henderson is very close to signing a four-year contract with his parent club that will see him earn £100,000-a-week.

so the overall worth of the deal is going to be  £20.8million.

In my own opinion, its time the Red Devils get rid of De Gea, who has been underperformance for two years.

The Spanish international made just one appearance in the semi-final of the FA Cup against Chelsea and got his club eliminated by making two blunders.

He also made just a single appearance in the Europa League which was against Sevilla and conceded two goals out of three shots on target.

Before the semi-final, the Argentina No.1 Romero guarded the goal post and conceded just 2 goals in 9 appearances.

If Manchester United are serious about their pursuit for League title next season, then they really need a reliable keeper in the goal, and in all fairness, Solskjaer should select Henderson over De Gea.

The young shot-stopper kept 13 clean sheets for his club Sheffield United last campaign and conceded 33 goals after making 36 Premier League appearances for the club.

Have your say - Who do you prefer to be United No.1 next season.
