Man Utd coach Solskjaer confident of retaining his job as the manager.

Man Utd chief Ed Woodward has discussed with the club's board that he is ready to sack the current coach Ole if he feels the Red Devils need a change, according to reports.


The Norwegian will oversee his team's Premier League match with the Blues at Stamford Bridge this evening.

The Reds will travel to Chelsea tonight knowing fully well that they need a win to boost their chances of finishing in the league top five.

with Man City under a ban for the next two seasons. The Red under the current coach has struggled for consistency in the current league campaign but the club still insists that they are fully behind the former Man Utd legend.

The 46-year-old also has expressed a belief that he still needs some time to build the Red devils team.

Yet ManUtdFC Blog says Ed Woodward has told the club senior staffs that he will have no problem cutting Solskjaer loose if he deems it necessary. But the United coach is popular among United supporters.

He is a throwback to the Sir Alex Ferguson's time,  He gives the fans so many good times as a United player. But Woodward, it seems, won't let sentiment be allowed him to keep Solskjaer's job at the club.

Instead, the Norwegian needs to deliver his best result for the club before the end of the season - starting with Chelsea this evening in the Premier League campaign.

Ed Woodward has hired and fired three coaches at Man Utd since replacing the former club chief David Gill as Old Trafford Powerhouse in 2003.
