He finally confirms Man Utd are not in the race to sign Premier League star

According to journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United are not in the running to capture wantaway Premier League striker Harry Kane.

The 28-year-old was absent from Tottenham training earlier on Monday after guiding England win their first European Championship final.

Kane's failure to show up was not due to COVID, according to Romano, but rather to a 'personal' decision made by the player and his staff.

Manchester United has been touted with a move for Harry Kane this summer, but Romano has stated that the Old Trafford management is not interested in signing the current Premier League golden boot winner.

Previously, it was stated that the club is ‘already in place' with intentions to aggressively invest in a striker this summer, with the club hoping that Erling Haaland and Kane are still available in a year.
