Jadon Sancho's response to Erling Haaland leaves United move open

Jadon Sancho's response to Erling Haaland leaves United move open

Last week, Jadon Sancho completed his long-awaited transfer to Manchester United.

It had been a long time coming, and Sancho received a flood of well-wishes and well-wishes from footballers all around the world. Erling Haaland, a former Dortmund teammate, sent one of the most memorable messages.

DON'T MISS:

But it was Sancho's response that stood out the most. In response, he said cryptically, "We will soon meet again."

Sancho's message could signify a variety of things, and you can interpret it anyway you wish. And, given that we want Erling Haaland to join Manchester United in 2022, the winger's comment does not exactly dissuade us.

The word soon in the telegram shows that Sancho is aware that Haaland would be leaving soon. And how could he not be, given that he has a bargain release clause that clubs are lining up to pay next summer. According to the Mirror, the sum might be approximately £60 million. That's a little more than a third of what Dortmund has been asking for him this summer.

DON'T MISS:

Haaland could end up in the Premier League, but it does not mean it will be with Manchester United. According to The Telegraph, Chelsea is apparently interested, therefore Sancho may view the striker as an opponent rather than a colleague.

When he is more inexpensive and a striker is needed, United will consider a transfer next summer. Staying put for another year by Edinson Cavani solved the problem and pushed United to make a move for Sancho.

There will still be obstacles, most notably Mino Raiola's involvement, that make a transaction tough for United to complete. However, Haaland is likely to attend the club of his choice.

And if he wants to reunite with Sancho at Old Trafford, as well as former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United will be in serious business.
