According to reporter Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United could join Tottenham in the race to recruit Sevilla defender Jules Kounde this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a summer transfer for the 22-year-old France defender as the north London club looks to strengthen their squad ahead of Nuno Espirito Santos' first season in command.

Manchester United is also rumored to be on the market for a new defender this summer in order to enhance their defensive options for next season.
The Red Devils have been heavily connected with Real Madrid midfielder Raphael Varane, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is sure to have other transfer targets in mind if that deal falls through.
Now, according to Italian journalist Romano, Manchester United is considering Sevilla defender Kounde as a prospective defensive transfer target this summer.
DON'T MISS:
“Kounde is a tremendously tricky deal,” Romano remarked on the Here We Go podcast last week. [With Tottenham], there is no agreement.] This trade isn't going to be simple for Spurs, in my opinion. They're speaking with his representative.
“We need to keep an eye on Manchester United for Kounde. It’s true they want Varane but Kounde has always been on the list. The situation is open.”
Kounde, who made one appearance for France at Euro 2020, scored two goals and made one assist in 34 La Liga games for Real Madrid last season.
