Marcus Rashford has spoken out about his on-field chemistry with Manchester United teammate Luke Shaw.

For United, the two have played well together down the left wing, and their link-up play was on display for England in their recent friendly victory over Romania.

DON'T MISS:

"It's something we've had a lot of time to work on and grow into understanding each other's game," Rashford told the Times.

"On that side, I believe we pose a threat." That's what it's all about: making an effort to connect with your teammates.

"A lot of what we do is simple, but it works, so we have to keep striving to improve and venture into dangerous territory."

"I've always had a good time playing with him. He's a fantastic player, and having links like that all over the pitch may help you win a tournament."

Rashford also believes England's squad has "excellent balance" heading into the Euros, with Gareth Southgate's side one of the betting favorites to win the competition.

DON'T MISS:

"There are players in this team now who have played in the World Cup semi-finals in Russia, players who have played in the Euros in France in 2016, people who have played in the Nations League," Rashford continued.

We've evolved and matured together, and it's simple for young talented players to slide in and play their best football when you have that closeness.

"Whether you start in the first XI or not, you have a critical part to play if we are to win the tournament."

"If you expect 11 players to win seven games in a short period of time, you're delusory."

We have a lot of young, promising players, as well as a few veteran players who have played a lot of big games for their clubs.

We've struck the right balance. We'll need everyone to take home a trophy.
