Another priority for Manchester United has emerged following a promising day of progress on the Jadon Sancho deal.
Obviously, the most pressing issue is concluding a deal with Borussia Dortmund, with BBC Sport suggesting that the two clubs' values are not far away.
The persistent conjecture regarding Paul Pogba's future is a nagging issue for United.
This always comes to a head while he's with the French team, so it's no surprise that his future is being discussed before of a major event.
Pogba's future is also unavoidable due to his contract's expiration, which has only one year left.
Pogba was first questioned on TV about a move to PSG by Ligue 1 star Presnel Kimpembe and Bayern Munich player Kingsley Coman earlier this week.
When asked if he had spoken to PSG, Pogba responded with a flat "no," according to ESPN.
When reporters pressed Pogba about his predicament, he told Sky Sports on Thursday that he had yet to receive a new offer from United.
“I have one year left on my contract, and everyone knows it,” Pogba remarked. I'm aware that the club has made no formal proposal.
“We completed the season by winning the Europa League, and then we went on vacation. I didn't get a chance to speak with the supervisor.
“Of course, I'm still a Manchester United player, but the only thing on my mind right now is the Euros.
“When there's a tournament like this, I try to stay away from anything associated to the club. That's why I have an agent, and he's the one who handles everything.”
Pogba's stance is reasonable in focusing on Euro 2020, but we still don't know what he really wants, and perhaps he doesn't know either.
To be fair, if he declared he wanted to stay, Mino Raiola would be upset because it would undermine his negotiation position. Raiola will want to negotiate the best contract possible if Pogba stays.
Use Sancho to entice Pogba... or sell him.
One of Pogba's complaints about United is that he doesn't have enough top-tier players around him.
A transfer for Jadon Sancho would bring the winger closer to putting a stop to the debate, as he would join Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood on the team.
There is still work to be done in terms of signing another elite defensive midfielder, but this should be a positive step forward.
According to an ESPN report United are concerned about Pogba's contract predicament and intend to continue discussions with him.
Whether or not they are successful is entirely dependent on how receptive he is to remaining. As a free agent next summer, he may have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape his own destiny.
If Pogba is unable or unwilling to buy into a United future with Sancho as one of the next stars United will be forced to sell.
This is the last summer in which United can get a fee for Pogba, and if he plays for France at Euro 2020, it may be a good one.
If that fails, he might be transferred for Raphael Varane in a part-exchange deal.
We looked at three high-priced candidates to replace Pogba this week, ranging from attacking to defensive midfielders.
In any case, a decision must be taken, and it will be easier if Sancho is included, since United will be under less pressure.
If he wants to stay, that's wonderful. If he wants to leave, he should be sold to allow United to recruit a player who wants to stay and strengthen the team.
United, on the other hand, can no longer ignore it. This is a position United must handle once the Euros are complete, by which time Sancho will hopefully be signed.
