Journalist names three players who could leave Man United this summer

According to writer Julien Laurens, Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek, and Anthony Martial all have questionable futures at Manchester United beyond the summer transfer window.

As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prepares for the upcoming season, the Red Devils are expected to make a number of new additions this summer.

Manchester United finished second in the Premier League last season, 12 points behind champions Manchester City, and most of the attention this summer has been on the players the Red Devils are trying to add to their team.

To improve their attacking options, the Red Devils have been linked with a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.

However, as Solskjaer tries to construct a club capable of fighting for the Premier League title next season, there could be some departures at Old Trafford this summer.

According to ESPN journalist Laurens, Lingard, Van de Beek, and Martial are among the names the Red Devils may contemplate parting ways with this summer.

Laurens remarked on June 26 to ESPN FC, "Sancho will happen." It's quite close, which is fantastic news for Manchester United and Jadon Sancho.

“I believe they will consider offloading some players, as is customary.

“I believe Jesse Lingard is one, and his loan to West Ham was intended to showcase him ahead of the summer transfer market. I believe they will receive a substantial sum of money.

“Van van Beek has had a difficult season and wants to remain in contention for a position [that] he wants. I don't think he'll fit in under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and with so much competition in midfield, it might be better for Van De Beek to depart.

“Then there's the Anthony Martial case. He wants to continue at the club, but he understands that with [Edinson] Cavani, [Mason] Greenwood, and [Marcus] Rashford, he is unlikely to play much next season. I'm not sure where he fits into the hierarchy.

“He'll be pursued by a slew of clubs. Before he moved to Manchester United from Monaco five years ago, Spurs came close to signing him.

“I believe Spurs would be interested in signing him since he will be considerably less expensive than what Manchester United paid for him.”

Manchester United hasn't won the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson's final success in 2013.
