Four Euro 2020 talents that could change Man Utd transfer plans after tournament

Four Euro 2020 talents that could change Man Utd transfer plans after tournament

Manchester United is planning a big summer, but the European Championships may force them to change their plans in the coming weeks.

If Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes he can complete the majority of his transfer business in the next few weeks, he is terribly stupid.

DON'T MISS:

Deals are set to take a backseat once Euro 2020 kicks off on Friday, with conversations continuing in the background until the tournament concludes in July.

United is well aware of the challenges of shopping immediately following an international event.

They tried to sign Harry Maguire in 2018 but were concerned that his price had been inflated due to his exploits in Russia.

They were kidnapped by Leicester again the following year, but they decided to pay a world-record £80 million ransom.

Now, in order to reduce the gap in Manchester City, the Red Devils must continue their amazing recruitment trend.

The recruitment of a center-back, central midfielder and right-winger is high on the priority list, but there are a number of young players slated to compete in this summer's European Championships who might change the game by the end of July.

By the conclusion of the summer, there are four players that could enchant United and force their hand.

 DON'T MISS:

Jude Bellingham - England.

Bellingham must already feel like the United player who got away.

Last summer, he paid a visit to their training facility before electing to join Borussia Dortmund, where he has already established himself as a star.

After impressing Gareth Southgate during the warm-up games against Austria and Romania, he now appears to be on track to play a surprise role for England this summer.

United requires a No. 8 in his mold, and Bellingham has a lot to offer.

If he performs well for the Three Lions, United may have to swallow their pride and make a play for the former Birmingham wonderkid.

Alexander Isak - Sweden

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's

United do not require a No 9 right now, but when Edinson Cavani leaves in a year, they will.

When it comes to young strikers, Isak appears to be the next best thing to Erling Haaland.

He is only 21 years old, but he has already established himself as a prolific scorer for Real Sociedad in La Liga.

United will keep a close eye on his performances as they consider a future move.

Pau Torres - Spain

Torres might be the answer for United if Raphael Varane is no longer available.

Following the Europa League final defeat to Villarreal, they are fully aware of his quality and have scouted him extensively.

Torres is composed in possession of the ball and has a natural presence in defense, tackling, organizing, and dominating strikers.

He might play with Aymeric Laporte, and given that Torres is expected to cost approximately £45 million, a successful tournament could persuade United to complete the move.

Jules Kounde - France

Although Kounde is not in Didier Deschamps' first-choice center-back combination, he could potentially make an appearance for Les Blues during the tournament.

It might not be such a horrible thing if he doesn't. That's because, as things stand, Sevilla can command a high price for the 22-year-old after such a strong La Liga season.

A low-key tournament away from the spotlight might offer United a decisive advantage over the defense.

On the other hand, if he is to play, his performances may be enough to persuade United to sign him.

There is a reluctance to spend up to £70 million for Kounde at the moment, but what better stage to prove he is worth it...

Varane, Torres, and Kounde are the frontrunners for United's center-back position.
