According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is keeping an eye on Villarreal defender Pau Torres ahead of a possible summer transfer.
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tries to add to his squad ahead of the new season, the Red Devils are reported to be on the lookout for a number of potential new arrivals this summer.

Now, Italian writer Romano has provided a new update on Manchester United's alleged interest in Torres, stating that the Red Devils are genuinely monitoring the 24-year-old – who is said to have a €65 million (£55.8 million) release clause in his contract – ahead of a possible deal.

“The release clause of Torres with Villarreal is €65 million,” Romano remarked on the Here We Go podcast on June 23. This [release clause] is known to Manchester United.
“He, along with Varane and [Jules] Kounde, is one of the players on their list. Pau Torres is valued by Manchester United, although they are aware of the €65 million clause.”
Manchester United are hoping to add to their team in order to compete for the title next season after finishing second and without a trophy the previous season.
