Mathias Pogba, Paul Pogba's brother, has given an interview in which he expressed his desire for Paul to leave Manchester United for Barcelona.
Pogba has had a solid season for his club, appearing in 26 Premier League games this season.
Manchester United career of Paul Pogba
In the summer of 2016, the French midfielder joined the Red Devils from Juventus for a then-world record fee of £80 million.
The United number six had a tumultuous relationship with Jose Mourinho, falling out of favor at times with the former Old Trafford manager.
However, under current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he has flourished, with some of his best football coming in the middle of the season, playing off the left or in midfield.
Manchester United-Barcelona transfer Paul Pogba
Nonetheless, in an interview with Spanish television, his brother did not rule out the possibility of a summer transfer, and mentioned Barcelona as a club he would like to see him play for.
Laporta, the new president of Barcelona, is determined to overhaul the current squad, with Pogba believed to be high on his list of transfer priorities.
Mathias appeared on Spain's El Chiringuito de Jugones and was asked about Pogba's current situation by reporter Jose Alvarez.
“Paul likes Laporta a lot; can you tell us about your brother's situation?”
“We will talk after he wins the Europa League,” Mathias responded.
“I don't know anything, but I'm with you, Jose; if that was the question, I'd sign tomorrow.
“I hope he signs with Barcelona.”

The 28-year-contract old's expires next summer, and it's been reported that he's looking for a raise from his current weekly salary.
Despite positive early talks, United are unwilling to give in to his demands, resulting in the current stalemate.
Juventus, Real Madrid, and Barcelona have all been linked with the midfielder, but all three clubs are in financial trouble.
Solskjaer's team prepares to face Villareal in the Europa League final on Wednesday, with Pogba expected to start.
