Manchester United transfer 'pretty much done' as Aston Villa tipped to complete deals

Tom Heaton, the goalkeeper for Aston Villa, is reportedly on his way to Manchester United.

The deal that will see Heaton return to his boyhood club is 'pretty much done,' according to talkSPORT, with Villa's back-up goalkeeper heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

DON'T MISS:

Heaton is expected to leave at the end of the season under the terms of the two-year contract he signed when joining Villa from Burnley in 2019 following the club's re-entry into the Premier League.

Villa is expected to sign the following players:

Villa are set to spend heavily in the transfer market again this summer.

Smith's team finished 11th in the Premier League in their second season back in the top flight after promotion in 2019.

After returning to the Premier League, Villa had to spend big to add quality to a team that finished the previous season one point clear of the relegation zone.

DON'T MISS:

This season has seen a significant improvement, with £28 million signing Ollie Watkins scoring 16 goals in his debut season, and Matty Cash and Martinez being contenders for player of the season in defense and goalkeeper, respectively.

Villa supporters react to the Dortmund connection

Villa supporters have reacted to speculation about the future of young sensation Carney Chukwuemeka.

Less than 24 hours after making his Premier League debut for Villa, Chukwuemeka is being linked with a move to German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund is well-known for signing and developing young English talent, with Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham flourishing since moving from Manchester City and Birmingham City, respectively, to the Westfalenstadion.

Chukwuemeka has made a name for himself in Villa's youth teams and came off the bench in the final minute of Wednesday's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, makes a claim about Villa.

Thomas Tuchel insists that Chelsea's match against Aston Villa on Sunday is his sole focus.

The Blues manager will lead his team to Portugal next week for their Champions League final clash with Manchester City, in an all-England final in which he will face Pep Guardiola for the third time this season - Tuchel has won the previous two.

The German has reiterated his and his team's need to focus on Villa in what is their final league game of the season; despite their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Tuesday, their top four spot is not yet secured, and they need a victory at Villa Park to ensure they will be playing in Europe's top competition again next season.

Meanwhile, Villa will welcome back around 10,000 fans to Villa Park on Sunday for the first time in more than 14 months.
