Manchester United has performed well this season, but that does not mean that all of its players are secure in the future.

The Red Devils are expected to scout the available talent during the next transfer window, and some current players may be moved. Daniel James' name has been mentioned in transfer rumors.

DON'T MISS:

So far, the 23-year-old has made 24 appearances and has five goals and one assist. However, at the rate he is being used, James may not be a long-term fit for Manchester United, who are expected to sign a new right winger this summer.

Leicester City, according to Manchester Gazette reporter Paul Swinson, is one team interested in James' services. The journalist tweeted on Saturday that the club, led by Brendan Rodgers, had identified the Welsh attacker as a potential summer signing.

This information could not be independently verified by International Business Times.

He mentioned that the pitch came as Leeds United appeared to have withdrawn from the race for James. Swinson also stated that James's future at Manchester United is "unlikely," especially if the club signs reported target Jadon Sancho.

DON'T MISS:

The move to Leicester City could be an option for James and Manchester United, which could be done on a loan basis at first. If the Wales international becomes a star at King Power Stadium, a buy option could be included as extra insurance.

If the deal goes through, it will be up to Rodgers to bring out the best in James. If he joins one of the top-performing teams right now, the winger may get the chance to show what he can do on the field.

With the Foxes already having won the FA Cup and competing for a place in the Champions League, adding young and promising talent could boost their chances even further.

James showed promise for Manchester United when he was given opportunities at Old Trafford. The only problem is that this was enough to establish him as a starter but not enough to secure regular playing time.

Given this scenario, it may be in the English winger's best interests to consider playing elsewhere. The Foxes could be that opportunity, though other clubs may take a second look at the 5-foot-7 footballer.

Manchester United has performed admirably this season, finishing second in the Premier League. Aside from that, the Red Devils are in the Europa League final, where they will face Villareal. Regardless of those breakthroughs, adding more talent to Old Trafford is a must moving forward, and James could find himself in a precarious position.
