Former Manchester United winger Lee Sharpe claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the right decision by keeping youngster Amad out of the first team.
The 18-year old arrived at United in January after agreeing on a transfer from Atalanta last summer but is yet to play a senior game for the club.
Despite paying a fee that could reach £37 million based on add-ons, United has only given the Ivorian four substitute appearances so far — along with a series of Under-23 matches.

Sharpe told MEN Sport exclusively in collaboration with William Hill: "I think he's got big potential."
A very young lad and he seems very little to be honest, so I'd be worried about his ability to cope with the physicality of the Premier League in his first game.
"However, given time away from training and the first team, I believe he'll be another good choice."
“I haven't seen anything of him, but I know he has a lot of talent, gets by crowds, and scores goals.
We've been brilliant in stretches, when they're on the front foot and in the groove and they're at it, they're a pretty good team to play against and they can be really impressive,” he said.
DON'T MISS:
“From Ole's perspective, the only bad aspect of this season is when they aren't like that.
They have a tendency to start slowly, allow a lot of early goals, and have had to chase a lot of games.
“Whether it's a goal against, an injustice of a ruling — like the Son decision [against Spurs] — it can be tough to build up the momentum when the start is late.
However, if they begin with force from the first whistle, they seem unbeatable.”
I think the lad is capable of playing better games for munited.
