Cristiano Ronaldo could rejoin Manchester United than Real Madrid this summer

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to return to Manchester United rather than Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, Tuttosport reports.

Portugal is international in their third season with the Bianconeri, and the announcement goes away with another early exit from the Champions League.

DONT MISS:

Ronaldo's current deal with the club expires in less than 16 months, and there are indications that he could enter the exit door.

It has been reported that Ronaldo's preference will be to return to Los Blancos or United, and the latter has been viewed as a more viable target.

Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane recently said there was a "possible" return from Ronaldo, but manager Florentino Perez had other plans.

DONT MISS:

The 74-year-old has been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain and will first accept the transfer for the replacement of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has not said he will leave the Serie A title, but they will be tempted to sell him with his contract set to expire in June 2022.

A move to the Bernabeu seems unlikely, with Perez before the move to Mbappe, and United considered it his best to sign the 36-year-old.

The Red Devils are looking for a key figure to lead the next line for the season after failing to transfer land to Romelu Lukaku in the recent transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland has been touted as a top priority, but it could cost around £ 90 million, and there is a tough competition from Manchester City.

By comparison, Ronaldo is valued at around £ 54m (per Transfermarkt) and could be available for more at the current level of his career.

The Portuguese will come in 36, but he has shown no signs of slowing down, showing the delay of 30 goals from 33 appearances for Juventus this season.

It would be a quick fix of United's current options under Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani and could improve their chances of competing for the league title.

At a time when the Red Devils need to pay club-fee payments, they can easily recoup the proceeds from further trade revenues from Portuguese returns.
