Man United Solskjaer in a "tug-of-war over the Man United midfielder's future" Jesse Lingard
Manchester United coach Solskjaer reportedly wanted to allow Jesse Lingard to stay at the club with interest coming from a number of clubs, including Tottenham.
Man United recently triggered a one-year extension in his contract which means he will be at Old Trafford until the summer of 2022.

The England international has fallen down the pecking order under Man United's new boss Solskjaer, making just three appearances in all competitions under the Norwegian manager.
The attacking midfielder, who was part of the England senior team that reached the semi-finals in the 2018 World Cup,
is understood to be keen on a move away from the Theater of a dream, with ESPN claiming that he is "desperate to find regular first-team football."
It may not be that easy for the Red, though, with Man United coach Solskjaer "keen to keep him" and the report states that Solskjaer in a "tug-of-war over the Man United midfielder's future"
The Norwegian boss believes that he will definitely need the service of the England international at some point this with a busy match schedule of fixtures coming up but he still remains "sympathetic to Lingard's situation".
The report claims that Jose Mourinho is reported interested in the playmaker, while they reckon that Sheffield United, Porto, Marseille, Inter Milan, Nice, and West Ham have also decreed their interest in the 27-year-old.
Those clubs are still waiting on a "definitive answer" as Manchester United will be making the player available in the summer transfer market.
