Mikael Silvestre tells Manchester United how to beat Liverpool at Anfield

Manchester United will be traveling to Anfield on Sunday in the Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Mikael Silvestre former Manchester United defender has urged Solkjaer to avoid conceding a free-kick near the 18-yard box if they want to defeat Liverpool this weekend.

The Red Devils are currently topping the table with clear three points off the defending champions and a win would double that advantage, placing the Red Devils in a better position on the quest for this season Premier League.

However, since 2016 Manchester United has not recorded a victory at Anfield and will have a stern task ahead of them if that history is to improve.

Mikael believes the match will be settled on fine margins and, in order to secure a victory at Anfield, United needs not to concede any soft set-pieces during the game.

'The goal margin will be very thin during the clash this weekend. It is a game where the Red Devils need to avoid giving free-kicks away.

Don't allow corners or soft free-kicks around the 18-yard box,' Silvestre told Ladbrokes.

'This is my honest advice to Man United because I do expect everything else to be normal with both teams.

'Man United left-back Luke Shaw had a lot of time out during his injury period but when he has played he is done very well.

He has been so solid and he is brought some much-needed consistency.

'He is doing better every day by day, and has been at Manchester United for quite a long time, it is to see him play a main role in the starting line-up.

He is showing the new man Alex Telles, Brandon Willians, and even Aaron Wan-Bissaka the way to play.

'When playing for the Red Devils, you need to be conscious that there will be competition for places from other international footballer and

the demand and speed of the matches mean it's normal to have another man there to compete against and every day you have to try your best and put on the best performance both on training and during the match days.
