Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Boubakary Soumare from Lille.
According to a report by Th Sun News, The Red Devils want to sign Boubakary Soumare as a long-term replacement for Paul Pogba.
The Premier League club, though, face competition from AC Milan in the race to land the French international, with Lille reluctant to let their star player leave in this current transfer market.

Soumare has been with Lille since 2017 when he left PSG as a free agent to join his club.
The young talented player made gradual progress in the first-team setup at Stade Pierre Mauroy, and it was last season been 2019/20 league campaign that the French midfielder breakthrough, as he cemented his place in the middle of the park.
This season, Soumare made 20 appearances for his club in all competitions, playing a key role in front of defense for Les Dogues,
who are thick in the action of the French Ligue 1 title race and he also boasts the second-best record in the top-flight.
His rapid progress, though, has alerted the English outfit Man United among a bevy of other top clubs across Europe.
In fact, the 20 times Premier League winner was reportedly in a battle with Arsenal to sign the 21-year-old in the summer transfer market as well, but a move did not materialize back then.
Manchester United instead go for Donny van de Beek in other to bolster their midfield, who is still not able to establish himself under the new coach Solskjaer.
The continued interest in the Lille star Soumare, though, is a bit interested, considering Fred has been of huge importance in the holding midfielder position, with Nemanja Matic also filling in ably when required.
Having said that, the Manchester United midfielder is on the wrong side of 30 years, meaning the club needs to lay down a succession plan for him.
To that note, Soumare might be a market for the Red Devils, who can have two quality defensive midfielders in Fred and Boubakary.
