Both clubs had a poor season start with the two lost at least two of their League Matches. However, the Red Devils are currently above the Blue on the Premier League table.

Man United at currently on top of  ManCity with just one point after playing 10 league matches due to their late involvement in the Europa and Champions League matches last season.

Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under intense pressure after his side were knockout from the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Solskjaer will do all in his power to preserve his job as the Red Devils' head coach,  a win against City will tend to reduce the pressure on him.

However, Pepe Guardiola will also be looking forward to closing the gap between then and the league leaders Tottenham with the former Barcelona coach aiming to secure all the three-point for himself.

However, Manchester United has not been doing very well at Old Trafford so far this season with Solskjaer managing to secure only two wins at home.
