Sergio Ramos contract at Real Madrid drawing close with no deal yet to be agreed
Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov has urged Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos to join Man United, but the question is would he still be a better signing for the Red.
The Spanish international has been in the Bernabeu for over a decade and have won countless of trophies and awards even becoming the one of the world's best defender, but with the recent development with his contract at the club, he is back in the headlines.

However, it is believed that the Real Madrid star will not agree to a new contract with the Spanish capital, and the former United forward has urged him that a move to Old Trafford would be a perfect movie for him although he is closing to the end of his career.
Berbatov to the Betfair:'there has been some news about the future of Ramos, from the report both players and club have not reached an agreement on a new contract.'
'With Spaniard clocking 34-years-old, they are definitely fighting over a one or two-year contract. The Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, who is even older at the age of 36-years-old has shown that it is never too late to move to the English Premier League and so far he is doing well for the Blues.'
'I am very sure if Sergio Ramos wanted to move to a club like Manchester United, then it would work out for him very well.
He is currently in great shape, he is still one of the world's best defenders and for me, there is still a lot he can offer to the Red.'
Some few seasons ago, Sergio Ramos would have been a world-class signing for Manchester United and one player that Man United fans would have moved to see at the club.
But currently, he has gotten on a bit, they would be getting a player that is in the peak of his football career.
There is a reason why Real Madrid is not willing to hand him the kind of contract he wants, and that is simply because he is not the kind of player he was.
He has very good experience, he is a winner, but what is the point of signing a player that will play for just one or two seasons, as we said, he is not the same kind of player any longer.
