Manchester United have been linked with Pochettinho for a long time now, and speculation has increased in the recent weeks after Manchester United lost two matches.

The Red Devils were beating by Istanbul Basasehir in a Champions League match on Wednesday, just some days after losing to Arsenal at home.

According to Manchester Evening News, Man United are now feeling out the former Spur manager over a potential replacement of Solskjaer as the head coach, but are reluctant to pull the trigger just yet.

'I feel we spent a little more time at Spur than we did at Southampton, Pochettinho. 'Southampton was totally different.'

'Spur was a team with 33 players, was a team that was trying to create some kind of identity and that was why they hired me maybe a young coaching staff and manager and to try and develop different ways to approach the games.

'In the same manner, I am talking about Nicola and Southampton, but for us, Spur was a great job, more than five years that I really enjoyed from the first day.

'All my staff, my players, everybody helped me in one way or the other towards my success at the London club.

'If you arrive at the beginning, it is a bit easier, but if you arrive in the middle, the same, you need to start building, and that is why it is very important to create a big platform, and that is what we really believe.
