According to football website Goal.com has published a list of the 50 top players in the world based on their recent performance.
The list features 25 male players and 25 female players and that was compiled after a 'global vote' based on the player's current performances in the 2019-20 football season.
Manchester United playmaker and former Sporting captain Bruno Fernandes made the 22nd position in the male best players.
Six Liverpool players have they're named been listed on the 25 men best players - the likes of Henderson, Salah, Alexander-Arnold, Alcantara, Mane, and Virgil van Dijk.
However, the Manchester City playmaker De Bruyne was ranked the highest English-based star - also coming ahead of the Barcelona star Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jur. and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Belgium international was only pipped to the top by Champions League winner and Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
The former Manchester United and Belgium international Romelu Lukaku - now at Inter Milian - was voted as the 15th best male player.
While on the female side, Mancity's Lucy Bronze came in the third position, behind the second position occupant Vivianne Miedema who is an Arsenal player, and Pernille Herder of Chelsea who took the first position.
