Report - Man United move in with proposal to sign £212,000-a-week Barcelona star

 

Manchester in talks with Barcelona over a potential move for their star Ousmane Dembele.

According to Daily News-Record, Manchester United has made a move to land the Barcelona star on a season-long loan but the Spanish Outfit wants to offload the Frenchman on a fee of 100 million euros.

The British source also claims that the Laliga giants would be eager to let the 23-year-old leave the club on loan but only if a compulsory release clause of the player is included in the deal.

In my own opinion, I am shocked by the price tag of 100 million euros valuation mentioned by notable journalist Duncan Castles in his article. 

The Barcelona star was a hit in the German Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund but since he seals a move to the Camp Nou, he was unable to find his time, he has been an absolute flop for the Catalan side since completing his move them three years ago.

The former Borussia Dortmund player has spent most of his time on the treatment bed and in the last football campaign, he only show-faced in 5 La Liga matches with just 3 starts and managed to score just a single goal.

with that kind of bad record, how can he worth such amount (100 euro), especially during this period of coronavirus pandemic?

back in May, according to famous Spanish source Marca who claims that Barcelona is hoping to get at least 60 million euros from the sale of the Frenchman.

As far as the current contract with the club still holds, the former Dortmund player's current contract with the Catalan club will expire in 2022 and he is earning (Marca) around 12 million euros annually £212,000-a-week.

Dembele did not feature in Barcelona Champions League clash against Bayern Munich due to his lack of fitness.

Barcelona will be starting their new season at the weekend and it will be left for the new coach Ronald Koeman would deploy the French international in his starting XI against Villareal.
