Man Utd chief Ed Woodward has a serious issue to fix as Dortmund rejects €100m Sancho deal

Borussia Dortmund has rejected Man Utd $100 million offer for Jadon Sancho.

There is no definite way in terms of how to be successful in negotiations in football and in business, but if you do the same of what Ed Woodward is doing you will definitely get the same result but of you do the opposite then you are probably on the right track.

Some people will argue that his glacial style worked during the Bruno Fernandes transfer who fortunately completed his move to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon, but that situation is totally different from the Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.

Completing a move to Manchester United was clearly a step up for Bruno Fernandes and Sporting always like exchanging their best player for a value, so there was a sense of unstoppable about that one.

the situation of the England international Sancho is very different, and it looks like his transfer tactics of shifting things out and making a lower offer won't work this time with Jadon Sancho.

It is obvious that anyone who runs a football club would simply look for a possible alternative option and get that deal sort out in other to strengthen their squad, But it will shock some Man Utd fans to hear that it is not that easy with the Red.

According to Mundo Deportivo who reported that Ousmane Dembele has emerged as the best alternative for Manchester United, but he actually turned down the move away from Camp Nou ten days ago and their sources at the club have confirmed that nothing has changed there so far.

All of this has left Man United chief Woodward with one almighty issue to fix because he is left himself over a barrel in any negotiations, While Man United's poor display at the pitch and some very negative PR have just made things worse.

Clubs will be rubbing their hands with glee if the Old Trafford club comes seeking any of their players because they know they can overcharge as desperation starts to increase, so it will be hard to see how Ed Woodward will come out of this with any credit.
