Man Utd coach failed to secure a spot in the FA Cup final after been defeated 1-3 by Chelsea on Sunday.
Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reclaimed that he gave his team the best possible chance to secure a final place at the FA Cup final and also prepare for a visit on Wednesday with West Ham with his team selection.
Solskjaer made only five change in his team from the usual starting eleven that has been unbeaten for some matches now,
He denied the two French players Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial a starting opportunity and switched to the back three with split strikers.
Manchester United previously make use of that formation to defeat Chelsea twice in Stamford bridge but the reliance on the formation resulted in a 3-1 defeat will extend United's three years of no trophy well into August.
Although during the match, United seem to struggle, the match was goalless until they change their formation from 4-3-3 to their normal 4-2-3-1 as a result of Eric Bailly's removal from the game due to injury he secures after he clashed with his teammate Harry Maguire.

According to Solskjaer,'Our selection today was one we think that will give us the best possible opportunity to go through in the FA Cup and be ready for Wednesday fixture against West Ham,' Ole added,'It did not work well for us today.
'One of our player Eric Bailly is in the hospital, going through all his treatment protocols and checks. he had a cut at the back of his head during his clash with our captain.
'I don't really know about his condition right now, I have not spoken to our medical team to know the latest update on his injury, He impacted heavily on the match.
'Eric performed very well for the 42 minutes he played in the game and we managed to concede just after the restart there, which was very disappointing.

Eric Bailly was one of our best defenders, he is not having any chances against us, really.
'the injure on Eric's head after he clashed with Harry with a long time waiting for the two players while ben attended to by our medical team,
we seemed to lost some concentration on the match for a little while and we concede a goal straight after that incident which had a massive impact on us.
Man Utd will be hoisting West Ham on Wednesday night on their second to the last match on premier league campaign after the fourth-placed club was humbled 3-0 by Tottenham.
So if Man Utd can get at least one point against West Ham on Wednesday, they will have the chance to be among the top four teams with Leciester currently having equal points and gaols.
