Manchester United are set to allow on-loan forward Alexis Sanchez another chance to prove himself at the club for the second time,



according to reports, The former Arsenal star joined Serie A club Inter Milan on a season-long loan during the summer after an unsuccessful 18-months at Old Trafford.

The 31-year-old Chilean forward failed to impress for the Red Devils after his record moves from Arsenal in January 2018, netting just five goals in 45 appearances for ManUtd.

Although he had not been expected to play for Manchester United again, the Daily Star reports that the reds have made a U-turn and are now planning to welcome the Chile international player back at the end of the season.

According to the publication, The Red's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has informed Sanchez and his agent that they have no intention of allowing him to join Inter or any other club on a permanent basis.

ManUtd is said to be interested to re-integrate him into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's plan before the start of next season, with the club lacking firepower upfront during the current campaign.

Although the former Arsenal playmaker has failed to impress during his time at the club, it is understood that the Norwegian is not ready to give up on the player and He still believes the player can still turn things around.

The winger is currently under contract with the reds until 2022 and is believed to earn as much as £500,000 per week.

At his current spell in Italy, Sanchez has so far been unable to pick form which saw him become one of the Premier League's top players.

He has made only seven appearances with Inter Milan in all competitions with just one goal and one assist.

The Chilean star player has for long struggled for fitness after spending over two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

 Although the player is understood to want to remain in Serie A, the current loan deal does not include an option to buy.
